First off, the hole locations will be different depending on which stand you have as the diameter of the stands vary from 1” to 2”. You can locate the holes you will be using by lining up the flange along the bottom of your gumball machines base.

Once the proper holes are located, it is time to secure your gumball machine to the flange. Take your bolts and firmly secure the flange to the base from the inside of your machine. This ensures someone cannot come to your machine with a wrench and release the bolts from the bottom of the machine.

Once you have your route mapped out, think about separating your routes into clusters. By separating your route into clusters (ex: 10 square mile groups), you will open yourself up to increased mobility while allowing yourself  extra time, as one never knows when a machine will need servicing beyond a regular refill. Ideally, you would aim to take one route to your vending “cluster” area while taking a different route on the way back passing different sets of machines and opening more options to service different these machines along your route. This will help you manage your time and service more machines without going too far out of your way during one service day.

• It may be a bit more difficult to find space for a soda/snack machine rather than a much smaller gumball machine. Your soda/snack machine will take up more floor space and will have leave space for foot traffic.
• You will need a van or a truck to carry product. Transporting your refill product will take up more vehicle space.
• General maintenance costs will be more as the parts generally consist of electronic components, you may need a technician to make the repairs and transporting the machine may incur some costs.
