She has them placed, but the company they are placed in is going out of business. Instead of trying to find new locations for these two vending machines, she wants to sell them.

One of Kathy’s Chicago vending machines is a drink machine (not branded) and the second vending machine for sale is a screw type snack machine. Kathy says both vending machines are in good conditions. The dollar bill acceptor was recently replaced and the snack machine has had a cooler added to keep your chocolate from melting.

Chicago residents can take a look at these two vending machines, or Kathy can send you pictures of her two machines. Kathy is asking $3,000 or best offer. The price seems a little high, especially considering that they need to be moved A.S.A.P.

You can contact Kathy in Chicago at ( 773) 701-0225 or pilcher_kathy@yahoo.com.

Typically vending machines are determined firstly by what they hold. Soda, candy and other foods are the most common types of vending machines. When talking about candy vending machines, the type of vending machine isn’t referred to by it’s manufacturer but by the amount of “heads” or dispensers that it has. A 3 head candy vending machine can hold 3 different types of candy. Many times, as a vending machine owner you’ll want to put something like Skittle, M&M’s and then a third candy.

With this method you feature chocolate as one choice, a hard candy or gumball as a second choice and the third is usually your best seller (Skittles maybe?), or a product that you need to get rid of, or you’re having a hard time selling. Using the three head candy vending machine approach you satisfy most taste buds and give people an option that is widely accepted. Some people don’t like chocolate so and all chocolate candy vending machine turns them away. Some people only want chocolate so with any chocolate in your vending machine you turn those people away. With a mix, and a 3 head machine, you can hopefully convert more people into buyers and turn a better profit.

Many times when you are looking at 3 head candy vending machines you can find good deals on used vending machines. If you’re able to find somewhat clean candy vending machines, you can refurbish them yourself and save a lot of money when comparing them to brand new vending machines. Vending machines parts are generally cheap and can go a long way to making that used vending machine look and function like a brand new machine.

3 head candy vending machines come in different sizes and different colors. Most candy vending machines seem to be red or black. You don’t see very many in other colors such as blue, brown or a colorfully painted machine. Costs stay low when the manufacturer sticks with a trusted color. Some colors are more difficult to produce in the lab because they chip or fade. Regardless of which color most of your machines are, you should track and see if different brands sell more and which people buy from. If you have a red machine in a store, try to switch it out for a black machine with the same candy. This will give you a good comparison to see if red or black machines sell better.

Armed with all of that knowledge, get out there at buy some 3 head candy vending machines!

One of the biggest costs to entering the vending machine business is the initial cost of buying vending machines. Sure, you can sometimes catch a good deal, but a majority of the time you need to buy those vending machines brand new.

If you’re one of the lucky people to be able to find someone selling their used vending machines, then be proud. Those used vending machines just saved you potentially thousands of dollars and now your closer to turning a profit rather than just having all of your investments tied up in brand new candy vending machines.

Some used vending machines are easier to find. Candy and soda vending machines are particularly easy to find since they have been around for a long time and many people like to upgrade to newer vending machines that look good. New types of vending machines, such as apparel vending machines, are very difficult to find used since there aren’t very many of them in use.

A good place to find used vending machines is through the manufacturers. Manufacturers often buy back old vending machines from their clients and give them a trade in value. Some vending machine manufacturers choose to refurbish those old machines and resell them.

Another great place to find used vending machines is online at sites such as Craigslist. Craigslist has a buy and sell section for most major cities. On that site you can frequently find people trying to sell their vending machine business. Look under the “Businesses For Sale” section.

A third place to find used vending machines is eBay. One of the tough things about eBay is finding someone who is selling vending machines locally. If you are able to find someone on eBay with used vending machines, try to schedule a visit to see the vending machines. This will give you a good indication of the condition of the vending machines. You could also talk to the current owner about some locations that he would be willing to give up.

My final and favorite place to find used vending machines is your local newspaper. Depending on the size of your city this could be pretty hard to find, but surrounding areas with a greater population could prove to have some good deals. Keep a keen eye out and you might find something. Another little secret is to call the person who takes classified ads at your newspaper and tell them you’re looking for someone who has vending machines for sale. If they see anyone who wants to place an ad, have them call you first! Then you have first shot at those great used vending machines!

Apparel vending machines might just take India by force. If they do, you can expect to see these vending machines distributing clothing near you.

While vending machines have had some strange things sold out of them, apparel is one of the strangest I’ve heard. Clothing from a vending machine. You heard it right.

In India the trend is growing for small companies who do not have a store of their own and can’t get shelf space in already crowded stores. Selling clothing out of vending machines could be the perfect ticket to getting their brand established and into the hands of Mumba consumers. Apparel vending machines will first be tested on a small scale before you start seeing apparel vending machines next to every soda vending machine.

The company behind the idea of apparel vending machines, Grabbit, wants to sell ethnic wear and swimsuits before going to the mainstream vending machine market. Personally I don’t think many people will want swimsuits, but ethnic clothing could be a big seller.

Most people in the market for a swimsuit will want to try on a few different bathing suits. The vending machine doesn’t allow for that and can’t accept returns. So if you buy a bathing suit from a vending machine you’d better hope it fits perfectly!
